I was one of the two UI/UX designers on this project.I participated in all stages of the design process and communicated closely with customers, marketing, and development teams.
To begin the redesign process, we conducted user research to identify pain points and opportunities for improvement. We used the following research methods: surveys, interviews, and analytics.
Based on our findings, we created a redesign plan that focuses on improving the website's navigation, search functionality, design, and checkout process.
We redesigned the website's navigation to make it more user-friendly. We simplified the menu and made it easier for users to find what they were looking for.
We improved search functionality by designing a clear and prominent search bar, implementing auto-suggestions, adding advanced filtering options, and ensuring relevant and accurate search results.
We simplified the checkout process, provided clear instructions, a progress bar, and a summary of the order.
To validate our design hypotheses and gather feedback, we created Hi-fi prototypes and had users perform specific tasks on the website, such as finding a particular product, adding it to the cart, and completing the checkout process. This process helped us identify any further issues and areas for improvement.
The other way we validated our design hypotheses was through A/B testing. We created two versions of a specific part of the interface we wanted to test and split users into two groups to measure the conversion rate of each version.
We updated the website's design to make it more visually appealing, modern, and easy to navigate. We used a clean and simple layout, high-quality images, and a consistent color scheme.
Redesign for this e-commerce project resulted in a more user-friendly experience. The new design included improvements to the search functionality with a clear search bar, auto-suggestions, and advanced filtering options. The checkout process was simplified, and the navigation menu was made more accessible, providing a modern and visually appealing website that improved customer satisfaction.
